Michael J. Leeds is the President of RMC Development and is directly responsible for the Company’s development and redevelopment activities. Mr. Leeds joined RMC in 1995, bringing with him ten years of prior real estatedevelopment, finance, and acquisition experience. Mr. Leeds’ career began with Arthur Andersen & Co. in its Real Estate Advisory Group, where he performed market and financial feasibility evaluations for a wide range of real estate projects including regional malls, office developments, multi-family (for rent and sale) residential projects, and large single-family housing communities. Throughout his 5 years at Arthur Andersen & Co., Mr. Leeds worked for clients such as The RTC, major financial/banking institutions, national and regional home builders as well as office developers, local government bodies, and smaller boutique developers. While at RMC, Mr. Leeds has directed the development and redevelopment of several million square feet of commercial real estate, including mixed-use projects/retail space, and has bought, sold, and financed numerous commercial properties. Additionally, he is directly responsible for the development and redevelopment of more than 20 Publix Super Market anchored shopping centers throughout the state of Florida. Mr. Leeds holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from George Washington University and has completed graduate course work concentrating on real estate and finance at both the University of Maryland and Florida Atlantic University. Active in the Tampa Bay community, he sits on the Executive Board of the University of South Florida-Hillel and the Tampa Jewish Federation Allocations Committee. Mr. Leeds is a licensed real estate salesperson in Florida, holds a Florida mortgage brokerage license, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). |
