RMC works with Electra, Kearney to bring Beall’s to Summerfield
Developer RMC Property Group has started the second phase of Summerfield Crossings in Riverview.
RMC is partnering with Electra LLC and Kearney Construction to build 135,000 square feet anchored by an 80,000-square-foot Beall’s Department Store. Summerfield Crossings, at the northeast corner of U.S. 301 and Big Bend Road, encompasses 70 acres.
The project also includes a 70,000-square-foot Publix Supermarket and a 120,000-square-foot medical office complex that is now under way. Phase two should be complete next spring.
RMC, a commercial leasing company based in Tampa, specializes in the acquisition, development, management and redevelopment of retail centers. Its 8 million-square-foot portfolio includes more than 80 shopping centers in Florida.
RMC expects Summerfield Crossings to be the dominant commercial center serving southeast Hillsborough County’s Riverview submarket, which has more than 20,000 new residences.
